McDANNOLD, MRS. ELIZABETH C., whose maiden name was Iles, a sister of Elijah and Washington Iles, was born Dec. 16, 1802, in Bath county, Ky., and married there Oct. 8, 1822, to John E. McDannold, who was born Nov. 7, 1795, in Kentucky. Mr. McDannold died Nov. 6, 1833, in Kentucky, leaving five children. Mrs. McDannold came with her family to Springfield, Ill, in Oct., 1836.21, Page 498
I have been told that Betsy (our 4G GM) died a short time (a week?) after Elizabeth C was born in 1802; and that she was raised until about 8 yrs old by her aunt, a sister of Thomas; until he married the 'Widow' Wheeler, at which time Elizabeth moved back in with her father, Thomas. |
