Helen was a lovely and talented woman, and always used the name Bea, as her middle name. Which, in fact, made it her name. However, I think, that at birth she had been given the middle name Bertha, after a woman she intensely disliked as a child. So che changed it to Bea, in usage.6
Helen's parents died when she was four, and she was reared in a Roman Catholic childrens home.6 |
